Desde 2012, el GEMPA lidera la exploración de zonas profundas del Mar Argentino, alcanzando hasta 3500 metros de profundidad. Estudiamos la biodiversidad, la ecología y las adaptaciones únicas de invertebrados y peces de aguas profundas. Nuestro trabajo revela especies nuevas para la ciencia, fortalece las colecciones biológicas del país y aporta información esencial para la conservación y soberanía del mar.
